Cancellation Policy
We require 48 hours notice for cancellation
Our goal at Lawton Dental Care is to provide the highest quality care to all our patients in a timely manner.
However, we cannot run smoothly if patients miss or cancel appointments without giving sufficient notice. To help ensure we give our patients the best service, we are required to plan appointments carefully to respect everyone’s time. When you book your appointment, you are holding a space on our calendar that is no longer available to other patients. In order to be respectful of your fellow patients if cancelling an appointment is necessary, we require that you call at least 48 hours in advance.
Our appointments are in high demand, and your advanced notice will allow another patient access to that appointment time. Failure to give less than 48 hours’ notice will result in your deposit being charged as a cancellation fee. If no deposit was taken then a short notice cancellation fee will be charged.
If more than 2 appointments are missed, future appointments may not be offered. The final decision is at the discretion of the owner.
Please call the practice on 01270 876026 as soon as you know you will not be able to make your appointment.
Booking Policy
The appropriate deposit is payable at the time of booking, appointments cannot be held without a deposit and may be offered to other patients. A fully refundable deposit is required for all appointments with our dental specialists and hygienists. The deposit secures the booking and is non-refundable if the cancellation policy is not adhered.
For any appointments 60 mins or more we will require a 50% deposit of the treatment fee.
All accounts are to be settled prior to leaving the clinic by credit/debit card or cash. Any patients in debt will not be seen by the practice until the account has been brought up to date.
Late Arrival
Patients arriving more than 10 minutes late for any appointment will be requested to reschedule their appointment. There are two reasons for this – so that we don’t run late for our next patient and so that we can give you the care that you are paying for without rushing/ shortcuts.
Cancelling at short notice makes it very difficult to offer your appointment to other patients in need, preventing them from utilising that time and costing the practice money.
You may be removed from the practice for poor attendance or recurrent short notice cancellation history.
Due to the uncertainty of offering personalised healthcare treatment, occasionally our appointments can over-run or rarely appointments may need to be cancelled. We will always keep you informed of any delay and give you the option to rebook if the delay is more than ten minutes.
COVID-19 Cancellation
We understand that patients cannot attend if suffering with COVID-19. If a patient requests flexibility on their deposit due to COVID-19 they are required to present a valid positive PCR test certificate (correct name and date).
