Lawton Dental Care has two dental chairs, one in Surgery 1 and one in Surgery 2. Both manufacturers, Sirona and A-Dec, provide information relating to the usage of these chairs, including maximum patient weight limits. This information can be found in the user manuals of the chairs. Any limit stated by the manufacturer must be followed to ensure the health and safety of patients and staff whilst equipment is being used, and to ensure that the various insurance policies and warranties remain in place.

The maximum patient weight limits are as below:

· Surgery 1 A-Dec – 28 stone (175kg)

· Surgery 2 Sirona – 25 stone (160kg)

No patient above these weights can be seen, and if in doubt, the team reserves the right to ask the patients for their weight prior to them being seated. New patients will be asked for their weight on the new medical history form.
