Dr Matt Gilks
Matt is proud to be local to Cheshire, having grown up in the area and completed his A-Levels at Sir John Deane’s College. He went on to study Biomedical Science at the University of Manchester, where his passion for healthcare and helping others led him to pursue a career in dentistry. After graduating with First Class Honours, he was offered a place at the University of Liverpool, where he completed his dental training.
Since qualifying, Matt has invested extensively in postgraduate education to expand his skills and provide a wider range of advanced treatments for his patients. His additional training includes composite bonding, SmileFast composite veneers, a Postgraduate Certificate in Orthodontics (teeth straightening), and a Postgraduate Diploma in Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry.
Matt has a particular interest in minimally invasive cosmetic dentistry and is especially passionate about transforming smiles with Invisalign® clear aligners. As an ‘Experienced’ Invisalign® provider, he has successfully treated over 100 patients with a wide variety of concerns—from gaps and crowding to bite issues and rotated teeth. Whatever your dental needs or age (he’s treated patients from their teens to their 80s!), Matt likely has experience with a case just like yours.
In addition to Invisalign®, Matt provides a full range of dental treatments, including white fillings, dentures, cosmetic braces, veneers, composite bonding, crowns, root canal treatment, and more. His calm, caring approach and dedication to excellence help ensure his patients feel confident and well cared for every step of the way.
Dr James Fokinther
Dr. James Fokinther graduated from the University of Glasgow and brings a wealth of experience from working across both NHS and private practices in Scotland, private clinics in Australia, and even volunteering in rural Cambodia. His diverse background has given him the opportunity to treat a wide range of dental conditions in a variety of settings.
James has a keen interest in aesthetic dentistry and is currently expanding his expertise through postgraduate training in oral surgery and dental implants. He is especially passionate about caring for anxious patients and children, firmly believing that—with the right approach and support—anyone can feel comfortable receiving dental treatment in a general practice environment.
Known for his calm and patient manner, James is committed to providing pain-free dentistry and takes the time to ensure every patient understands their treatment options. His goal is to create a positive, reassuring experience for everyone who visits the practice.
